Jordan Casteel: Winter Sun at Thaddaeus Ropac, Paris — 19 Oct–23 Dec 2026
Thaddaeus Ropac Paris Marais presents Winter Sun, Jordan Casteel’s first exhibition in France and, according to the gallery, her most significant presentation in Europe to date. The show gathers portraits, landscapes, flower paintings and still lifes made in the first half of 2026, painted in a cool, earthy palette that evokes deep-winter light. The title plays on “sun” and “son”, and the works turn on dormancy and renewal, love and grief, and maternal care after the birth of the artist’s son.
