Robert Mapplethorpe: Un/known Pleasures at Galeria Senda, Barcelona — 11 Nov 2026–9 Jan 2027
Galeria Senda presents Un/known Pleasures: Arquitectures de l’Interior (“Architectures of the Interior”), its fifth exhibition devoted to the American photographer Robert Mapplethorpe (1946–1989). Rather than leading with the portraits, nudes and still lifes for which he is best known, the show reads his photographs through architecture and space — windows, staircases, columns, rooms and domestic objects — and pairs them with portraits in which the body is defined by its surroundings. The display is shaped by a spatial installation by architect Agustin Perez-Torres, a partner at BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group, and forms part of the programme of Barcelona 2026, World Capital of Architecture.
