Juan Giralt at Galería Cayón, Madrid — 12 Nov 2026–4 Jan 2027

Galería Cayón presents a solo exhibition of Juan Giralt (Madrid, 1940 – 2007) at its Madrid space in Chamberí. Largely self-taught and formed in the climate of 1950s Informalism, Giralt passed through London, Paris and Amsterdam — where he encountered CoBrA — before becoming, in the words of Museo Reina Sofía, a reference point of New Figuration in Madrid. In his later decades he moved freely between figuration and abstraction, using acrylic, collage and painted words. The gallery has not yet published a checklist or press text for the show; please check with the gallery for the works on view.
