Ardan Özmenoğlu: Make Me Up at Anna Laudel, Istanbul — 14 Nov 2026–3 Jan 2027
Anna Laudel İstanbul presents “Make Me Up”, a solo exhibition by Turkish artist Ardan Özmenoğlu. According to the gallery’s press text, the show looks at where technology, creativity and identity meet at a time when images can be generated almost instantly, using artificial intelligence’s capacity to produce, copy and alter images to question originality, artistic identity and the value of the human hand. Özmenoğlu presses everyday objects into ink; through repetition, layering and chance, no two prints are alike. Here she turns that method on the female body and identity, examining beauty through social expectations, visual culture and algorithms that can reshape faces and bodies. The title is both an instruction and a question: who remakes the individual — the self, social norms or algorithms?
