Art Contact Istanbul
Art Contact is Istanbul’s sister fair to ARTAnkara, held annually in the city and organised by the same company, Atis Fuarcılık (ATIS). Like its Ankara counterpart, it is built around open participation by working artists alongside established galleries, drawing a large international roster each year.
About the Fair
The sixth edition ran 13–17 May 2026, gathering more than 1,000 artists from around 40 countries and roughly 100 participating galleries and institutions, according to Türkiye Today’s report on the fair. Coverage of the event quoted ATIS’s board chair noting that the organisation had earlier established ARTAnkara before bringing the same model to Istanbul.

Plan Your Visit
Like ARTAnkara, Art Contact Istanbul is a ticketed fair open to the public, pairing gallery and institutional booths with a large contingent of independently participating artists. Its scale — four to five days, over 1,000 artists and around 100 exhibitors in 2026 — makes it one of the largest artist-participation art events in Turkey. Anyone planning to visit or submit work should confirm current dates and venue directly with the organiser, since both have varied between editions.
