Christopher Le Brun: The Mind’s Weather at Lisson Gallery, London — 19 Nov 2026–13 Feb 2027
Lisson Gallery presents “The Mind’s Weather”, a solo exhibition of new paintings by British painter Christopher Le Brun. The gallery describes a large sequence of new canvases that draw on a lifetime of thinking about painting — surface and depth, tone and light, memory and imagination — with a title that points to the role of changeability in his work. According to Galleries Now, the new oil paintings move from the abstraction of the past two decades towards representation: sun-like forms accompanied by moons, planets and stars, and landscapes such as The Chalk Pit (2026), a reimagining of the South Downs. A fully illustrated catalogue includes an essay by Barry Phipps.
