Daver Darende: Anısına Saygıyla at Medya Sanat Galerisi, Ankara — 16 Oct–11 Nov 2026
Three years after his death, Ankara’s Medya Sanat Galerisi honours the diplomat, writer and painter Daver Darende with Anısına Saygıyla (“With Respect to His Memory”), a selection of paintings from different periods of his career. Istanbul dominates the walls: Beyoğlu trams, Bosphorus ferries, plane trees, historic buildings and crowded streets, painted with the free handling of colour and stain that defined his work.
