Hazal Özgür: Phantasma at Galeri Bosfor, Istanbul — 15 Oct–14 Nov 2026
Galeri Bosfor in Karaköy presents Phantasma, the third solo exhibition by painter Hazal Özgür. The paintings begin with the shadows the artist meets on night walks — her own shadow merging with pavements, trees, utility poles and discarded objects — which she photographs, turns into physical collages and then reworks in paint until only a faint trace of the source remains. The gallery links the project to Freud’s idea of the “oceanic feeling”.
