Jaki Irvine: Five lines of song-smoke at Frith Street Gallery, London — 20 Nov 2026–16 Jan 2027

Frith Street Gallery presents Five lines of song-smoke, a new work by the Dublin-based artist Jaki Irvine at its Golden Square space in Soho. According to the gallery, the exhibition consists of a single 5-channel sound and video installation, 28 minutes long and looped, made with seven musicians who improvised in response to a moving graphic score that Irvine filmed, recorded and generated. Small details of everyday life near her home — a stone thrown into an icy pond, string in a neighbour’s garden, a heavily plastered ceiling — and the 1925 song “Show Me the Way to Go Home” are its starting points.
