Kiki Smith, Untitled, 1995, for Untethered Journey at Jeffrey Deitch, Los Angeles, 2026

Jeffrey Deitch and Pace Gallery jointly present Untethered Journey, Kiki Smith’s first solo exhibition in Los Angeles in thirty years. The show spans historical and recent work — early bronzes of the body, Blood Pool (1992), Virgin Mary (1994), the 1989 “red room” installation, Stars and Scat (1996), Moon on Crutches (2002) and Sybills (2005) — across sculpture, drawing, glass, printmaking and textile, tracing her path from the body, sexuality and mortality to animals, nature and the cosmos.
