Marcelo Fuentes: Apuntes para un paisaje at Alzueta Gallery, Barcelona — 15 Oct–6 Nov 2026
Alzueta Gallery presents Apuntes para un paisaje (“Notes for a Landscape”), the first solo exhibition at the gallery by Valencian painter Marcelo Fuentes (b. 1955), at its Barcelona Turó space. In recent oils on canvas and watercolours on paper, Fuentes starts from recognisable buildings, bridges and fragments of architecture, then simplifies form and softens outlines until colour becomes atmosphere and the specific place recedes — a city painted as an experience of looking and remembering rather than a description.
