Nermin Ülker: Dört Köşeli Üçgen at Black Light Gallery, Istanbul — 20 Oct–5 Dec 2026
Black Light Gallery in Karaköy presents Dört Köşeli Üçgen: Yerini Bulamamış Cümlelerin Anıtları (Square Triangle: Monuments to Sentences That Never Found Their Place), a solo exhibition of metal sculpture by Nermin Ülker, curated by Filiz Ağdemir. The title is borrowed from Salâh Birsel’s only novel, Dört Köşeli Üçgen (1961). Ülker builds sentences — things left unsaid because saying them carries a cost — into layered metal forms that stand directly on the floor without pedestals, partly concealing what they contain and asking whether hiding a sentence protects it or censors it.
