Olgu Sümengen Berker: Eve Dönüş (Homecoming) at Galeri Soyut, Ankara — 30 Oct–11 Nov 2026

Galeri Soyut presents Eve Dönüş (Homecoming), a solo exhibition of ceramic sculpture by Olgu Sümengen Berker (born 1978, Isparta) in the B Salon of its Çankaya space. Fourteen works in high-fired stoneware and porcelain — some lit from within by LEDs, one repaired with kintsugi — take the Anatolian mother-goddess figure as a starting point and turn it into a personal image of the female body. Photographs from the artist’s daily walks, travel maps and handwritten notes are transferred onto the surfaces as decals and prints, so that many works, titled as diary “pages”, read as a record of home, belonging and distance.
