Sable Elyse Smith: Sky Fence Ground at Regen Projects, Los Angeles — 6 Nov–19 Dec 2026
Regen Projects presents Sky Fence Ground, a solo exhibition by Sable Elyse Smith, from 6 November to 19 December 2026 at the gallery’s Santa Monica Boulevard space in Los Angeles. According to the gallery, the show brings together new woven works on paper built from the artist’s ongoing Coloring Books series, the recent video skin suit (2026) and the monumental kinetic sculpture A Clockwork (2021), a slowly turning wheel assembled from repeated prison table-and-stool forms. Born in Los Angeles in 1986, Smith uses formal language and patterning to expose how systems and hierarchies — above all the American carceral system — shape everyday life. The artist leads a walkthrough on Friday 6 November at 11am, followed by the opening reception that evening.
