Cosmin Costinaș and Inti Guerrero to Direct the 9th Yokohama Triennale in 2027
The 9th Yokohama Triennale will run from 23 April to 12 September 2027 at the Yokohama Museum of Art and other venues across the Japanese port city.
Artistic direction falls to Cosmin Costinaș and Inti Guerrero, a curatorial pairing that previously directed the 24th Biennale of Sydney in 2024. Costinaș was formerly director of Hong Kong’s Para Site and a senior curator at HKW Berlin; Guerrero has taught at City University of Hong Kong and led Bellas Artes Projects in the Philippines.
The exhibition is organized by the City of Yokohama together with the Yokohama Arts Foundation, Japan Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) and The Asahi Shimbun, and its 2027 dates are set to coincide with GREEN×EXPO 2027, a horticultural exposition the city is hosting the same year.
Full details are on the Yokohama Triennale’s official site. Dates, venues and a source-linked summary are also on Art Fair’s Yokohama Triennale 2027 listing.
