Alissa Kim Tjen

Alissa Kim Tjen is a painter born in Seoul, Korea, and based in North Vancouver, Canada, working in semi-abstract acrylic on canvas to explore light, water, and atmosphere — drawing on Gaston Bachelard’s Water and Dreams as a touchstone for treating water as a living, transformative subject rather than a passive backdrop.
