Metin Kılıç

Metin Kılıç, a native of Çorum, was brought into this world in the year 1980. His journey through the world of art began at Anadolu University, where he dedicated himself to the pursuit of knowledge in the Fine Arts Painting Teaching Department, culminating in his graduation in 2003.

In the same year, the gates of opportunity swung wide open for Metin as he embarked on a remarkable career as a sculptor. The Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality was the canvas for his artistic expression, and it is here that he began to shape his dreams into tangible forms. Today, his sculptures grace the very heart of the city, a testament to his talent and dedication.

Metin Kılıç’s artistic endeavors have not gone unnoticed. He has actively participated in a multitude of group exhibitions and fiercely competitive showcases, where his work has not only garnered admiration but also received prestigious awards. These accolades stand as a testament to the passion and craftsmanship that he pours into each of his creations.

Despite the years that have passed since he first set foot in the realm of sculpture, Metin remains unwavering in his commitment to his craft. He continues to breathe life into his creations at the very same place where his artistic journey began, a place where his imagination knows no bounds.

Exhibitions & Awards

Kılıç is represented by Platform A Sanat Galerisi (Ankara) and exhibits through the Alarm Art gallery network from his Eskişehir studio. He took part in the SNBA Salon at the Carrousel du Louvre, Paris, as part of the Turkish delegation (2016), and received the Başarı Ödülü (Achievement Award) at Turkey’s 73rd State Painting and Sculpture Competition, Ankara (2016). A group exhibition of his bronze sculptures was shown at Platform A Sanat Galerisi, Ankara (2019). He has also contributed work related to the Yılmaz Büyükerşen Wax Figures Museum in Eskişehir.
